Once upon a time
Singer Camilla Tømta met up with bass player Knut Hofseth in 2002. For two years the two of them worked with different musicians. Gitarist Ørnulv B. Snortheim joined them in 2004. After playing with the trio live for a while Stein Norbakken finally became a regular member of the band the fall of 2007.
The band has over the last few years played around Oslo and the Oslo area. Through performing live and producing their own debut album the band has put a lot of effort into creating their own unique sound.
Aloudahem is the bands first album. The band members themselves have done everything. Recording the album has taken place over a long period of time and therefore in many different studio locations.
The longest, and most intense period was when the band put all the studio equipment in the car and drove to a cabin by the picturesque Tyrifjord.
Even though Camilla writes the lyrics and music it is through the arrangements the band really creates its own sound.
Ørnulv Snortheim has been a combined head producer and studio technician as well as mixing the whole album.
The band wishes, through, this release to draw the audiences’ attention towards them. This intention is summoned in the title of the album; a loud ahem.
